Luminis Health Orthopedics is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon to join our growing and dynamic team in Prince George's County, Maryland. This position offers a unique opportunity to practice high-volume, cutting-edge sports medicine in a community-based, academically connected healthcare system. You'll serve a diverse patient population ranging from student athletes to active adults and weekend warriors.

Responsibilities

* Diagnose and manage sports-related musculoskeletal conditions and injuries in both surgical and non-surgical patients

* Perform advanced arthroscopic and open procedures involving the knee, shoulder, hip, elbow, and ankle

* Provide care for local school and community athletic programs (preferred, not required)

* Participate in call coverage

* Document all clinical activity accurately and thoroughly using the electronic health record (EHR)

* Participate in quality improvement initiatives, team meetings, and continuing education

* Optional involvement in clinical teaching or research through academic affiliations

Qualifications

* MD or DO degree from an accredited institution

* Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency

* Fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine

* Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery

* Active Maryland medical license or eligibility to obtain one

* Proficiency in arthroscopic techniques, with experience in ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, labral repairs, meniscal surgery, and cartilage restoration

* Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care

* Experience with outreach and community engagement a plus
