Located just 75 scenic minutes from our nation's capital, the Martinsburg, WV VA Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified Otolaryngologist to join the General Surgery/ENT Section of our Surgical Service.

THE DUTIES
You will evaluate, diagnose, admit, treat, and manage patients with diseases, disorders, and injuries of the:

  • Ear, nose, throat, head, and neck

  • Facial skeleton, upper respiratory tract, and upper alimentary system

Your Scope Includes:

  • Operative & Non-Operative Care: Consistent with approved clinical privileges and Level 1C facility capabilities.

  • Consultations: Inpatient and outpatient consults + follow-up care for patients referred by other clinical services and affiliated outpatient clinics.

  • Emergency Coverage: Provide emergency and on-call otolaryngology services as assigned (consistent with granted privileges).

  • Diagnostics: Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic studies; implement treatment plans consistent with VHA standards.

  • Teaching: Educate and mentor medical students, interns, residents, technicians, and other physicians.

  • Team Collaboration: Participate in surgical staff briefings, interdisciplinary care coordination, and continuity of care across services.

  • Compliance: Maintain current licensure, board certification, credentialing, privileging, and completion of all required mandatory education/training.

THE WORK SCHEDULE (Yes, it's real):
Monday through Friday, 08:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD/DO) from an accredited institution

  • Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Otolaryngology residency

  • Board Certification by the American Board of Otolaryngology

  • Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
