General Pathologist

Meritus Medical Center

Hagerstown, Maryland (USA). Meritus Medical Center Laboratory is seeking 2 full-time, AP/CP Board-certified pathologists to join our current hospital-based group of 3 full-time pathologists. Candidates must be board certified/board eligible and able to secure a Maryland medical license. We welcome applications from experienced pathologists and those currently in residency or fellowship training. Additional fellowship training is appreciated but not required.

The group currently shares 16,000+ general surgical pathology cases and 2000+ non-gyn cytology cases. Surgical cases include routine GI, GU, breast, gyn, lung, and skin biopsies as well as larger associated general surgical resections. In addition, the on-call pathologist must be available for immediate assessments of frozen sections, occasional grossing issues, and general pathology questions. Oversight of a clinical pathology department such as clinical chemistry, microbiology or hematology with initial assistance from the medical director will be included in the job responsibilities.
