The Advanced Heart Failure, Heart Transplant and Mechanical Circulatory Support section of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Arizona, in partnership with the Banner University Medical Center (BUMC) in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiologist.
BUMC-Tucson serves a population over 1.2 million. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-changing, multi-disciplinary, and research-academic environment. Candidates should have clinical expertise in heart transplant, mechanical support devices, and invasive hemodynamics. There are opportunities to participate in groundbreaking clinical and translational research through the Sarver Heart Center - University of Arizona. Faculty appointments to the University of Arizona can be provided to successful candidates which are consistent with their credentials. The Cardiology Division has coronary intervention, complex electrophysiology, structural heart, and advanced imaging programs to compliment the Advanced Heart Failure Program. Consequently, this is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a team that aims to make revolutionary advancements in heart failure care.

1.0 FTE
Average daily patient load 4-6 per half day; outpatient load 4-6 per half day
Case/procedure types: Right heart catheterization, endomyocardial biopsies, Cardiomems insertion, transesophageal echocardiography
10 weeks heart failure call, in equal rotation with clinical peers
If desired, participation or lead clinical - translation research
