Job Description

Orthopedic & Spine Centers of Wisconsin, SC ("OSCW") is seeking a highly qualified orthopedic spine surgeon who wishes to be part of a dynamic and integrated team dedicated to delivering the best musculoskeletal healthcare in Madison, WI and surrounding communities. The ideal candidates will have a demonstrated track record of excellence in clinical care, integration with clinical quality standards, and fostering a high level of teamwork with colleagues.

OSCW has specialists in most areas of orthopedics including hand/upper extremity, joint reconstruction, sports medicine, foot and ankle, and general orthopedics. In addition, we offer interventional pain management, neurology, physical therapy, and certified hand therapy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations.

  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as MRI, CT scans, X-rays, and other imaging modalities to identify spinal disorders.

  • Develop and discuss appropriate treatment plans with patients, including surgical and non-surgical options.

  • Conduct advanced surgical techniques, including decompression, fusion, and disc replacement.

  • Monitor patients' recovery and manage postoperative complications.

  • Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare providers to optimize patient recovery.

  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Participate in case discussions and team meetings.

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in spinal surgery and interventional techniques.

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical regulations, and quality standards.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.

  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery.

  • Completion of a Spine Surgery fellowship.

  • Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery.

  • Valid medical license to practice in Wisconsin.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, potential on-call responsibilities.

  • OR/Clinic Schedule is 2 days in the OR, 2 days in Clinic, 1 day flex between OR/Clinic/Admin.
