Lead Preschool Teacher Key Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging, play-based lesson plans aligned with The Goddard School curriculum for preschool-age children (ages 3–5) Foster each child's school readiness through intentional development of early literacy, numeracy, social-emotional and fine and gross motor skills Create a classroom environment that sparks curiosity, encourages independence and builds confidence in every child Guide children through the social dynamics of preschool — sharing, conflict resolution, cooperation and building friendships Supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers in the preschool classroom Communicate regularly with parents about their child's kindergarten readiness, developmental milestones and daily activities Conduct and document developmental assessments and maintain portfolios for each child Collaborate with school leadership on curriculum planning and school-wide programming Adhere to all health, safety and licensing guidelines What We Offer (Varies By Location)
