Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led 650+ provider multispecialty group with an excellent opportunity for a PRN Hospitalist to join its group in Nampa, Idaho. Part of a regional, 32 physicians, 12 APP group in Boise, the Nampa group of 12 Hospitalists manages a high-acuity medical service at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa, Idaho. Nampa Hospitalists cover service at a 100 bed (expanding to 250 beds) closed ICU, level III trauma, community hospital. Saint Alphonsus in Nampa holds Time Sensitive Emergency classifications for Stroke, Cardiology, and Trauma. Hospitalists are the primary admitting service for the vast majority of primary care providers in the Saint Alphonsus network.
With a typical patient population of 40% adult and 60% geriatric, Hospitalists see patients with CHF, pneumonia, COPD, pancreatitis, stroke, neurologic conditions, geriatric fractures as well as other general medical conditions. Rounding typically involves around 18 patient encounters per day.
Saint Alphonsus is the regions principal provider of advanced, innovative and interdisciplinary critical care services, so candidates must be committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach.
The ideal candidate will have a strong internal medicine or family medicine background with Hospitalist training and a desire to develop a practice in support of a growing multi-specialty medical group. Hospitalists also take part in teaching residents. The schedule consists of working 12 hour shifts: Day: 7:00am - 7:00pm, Night: 7:00pm - 7:00am.

Requirements
:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency program or Family Medicine residency program with Hospitalist training will also be considered.
Board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) - or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment.
Ability to obtain Idaho & Oregon medical licensure to practice medicine in all its phases; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Boards of Pharmacy & DEA; granting of privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC).
