As a Senior Project Engineer, you’ll play a key leadership role in supporting field and office operations by partnering closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent. You’ll take ownership of complex scopes, lead technical coordination, and help guide Project Engineers and interns. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, mentoring others, and taking pride in delivering high-quality work.
You’ll be involved in every phase of the project, from start-up through closeout, with increasing responsibility for systems coordination, cost management, and technical execution.
Coordinate and lead technical and administrative project functions from start-up through closeout
Manage complex building systems coordination, including submittals, RFIs, clash detection, and design reviews
Oversee subcontractor compliance, documentation, and quality control processes
Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents on project planning and execution
Lead jobsite engineering activities and participate in project meetings
Track budgets, costs, and forecasting to support financial performance
Coach, mentor, and support Project Engineers and interns
Ensure project documentation and closeout materials are accurate and complete
You take ownership of your work, communicate clearly, and enjoy helping others grow. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
4+ years of relevant construction experience
Strong understanding of construction means and methods
Proficiency with project management and construction software platforms
Experience coordinating complex building systems
Dependable, professional, and comfortable handling confidential information
Work is primarily based in a jobsite trailer with frequent visits to active construction areas. The role requires regular movement throughout the site, use of standard PPE, and the ability to work in varying weather and site conditions. Absher is a Federal Contractor. Salary offers are typically made between the entry and midpoint of the range and are based on factors such as experience, education, and internal equity.
Background checks may include verification of employment history, education, criminal records, and references. For positions with access to company financial accounts or credit card programs, a credit history check may also be conducted.
