About the Role

This Quality Control (Q/C) Apprentice position is a developmental opportunity designed for individuals with little to no prior experience in materials testing or construction quality control. The role provides hands-on training and mentorship to build foundational skills, with the goal of preparing the apprentice for certification and long-term success in the field.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist in collecting and testing materials to ensure product quality and consistency

• Operate and maintain lab and field-testing equipment under supervision

• Accurately document test results and report any variances or irregularities

• Support quality control initiatives and learn compliance requirements

• Learn from experienced technicians with the goal of achieving QC Inspector certification within two years of commencing employment

What Are We Looking For

• Strong interest in materials testing and construction quality control

• Demonstrated ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team

• Solid communication and documentation skills

• Capable of performing physical tasks in varied environmental conditions

• Willingness and ability to learn technical procedures and pursue certification

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check

• Expectation to pursue the QC Inspector certification within two years of commencing employment

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
