POSITION SUMMARY
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of electro-mechanical assemblies. This typically includes various mechanical assemblies, piping, brackets and wiring, lighting, boxes, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
  • Carries out inspection activities in accordance with established quality plans, engineering specifications and procedures in order to verify that the product meets specified requirements.
  • Must be able to effectively use, read and interpret a tape measure.
  • Performs incoming, in-process and final dimensional and visual inspection of materials and assemblies to determine compliance.
  • Electronically records the results to provide evidence that the product has been inspected, whether accepted or rejected.
  • The Inspector is required to handle any nonconforming product in accordance with established work instructions and other quality system procedures.
  • Must be able to read and interpret Engineering blueprints and Customer specifications.
  • Detail oriented and must have experience inspection mechanical, electrical, and structural assemblies or installations.
  • Inspection will work closely with Manufacturing to ensure full compliance to Engineering requirements.
  • Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on-site, ability to work overtime.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.
  • Experience with pneumatic pressure or leak testing, preferred.
  • Any NEC-code experience preferred.

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)
  • Personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)
  • High school diploma or GED. Experience in an ISO 9001environment preferred.
