Quality Manager role leading end-to-end quality assurance for AMAX’s hardware manufacturing and system integration (AI servers, GPU systems, and data center solutions) in Fremont, CA. You’ll own the QMS (ISO 9001-aligned), drive KPIs/continuous improvement, manage inspections, CAPA, supplier quality, and customer escalations while mentoring quality engineers. - Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
- Define quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and operations
- Partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the product lifecycle
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection processes for servers, storage systems, and rack-level builds
- Monitor production quality metrics (yield, defect rates, rework, RMA trends)
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Support supplier quality activities, including incoming inspection, supplier corrective actions, and quality performance monitoring
- Conduct supplier audits and manage supplier corrective actions
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues and escalations
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards
- Support customer audits and quality reviews
- Lead and mentor a team of quality engineers
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in quality management within hardware, electronics, or manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of QMS (ISO 9001 or similar)
- Experience with root cause methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone)
- Familiarity with manufacturing of servers, storage systems, or similar hardware
Preferred:
- Experience with AI/HPC systems or data center hardware
- Knowledge of supplier quality and global supply chain operations
- Certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)
The salary range offered for this position is $120,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on the candidate's experience and skill set.
