Baptist Urgent Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiology Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, providing high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced urgent care environment. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will perform a wide range of routine and STAT X-ray exams to support timely diagnosis and treatment of non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. Working closely with providers, nurses, and support staff, you will deliver safe, accurate, and patient-centered radiologic services while embodying our commitment to integrity, compassion, and quality care.

In this role, you will greet and prepare patients for imaging procedures, verify orders, obtain necessary histories, and explain exams in a clear and reassuring manner. You will position patients accurately, operate digital radiography equipment, and apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure while obtaining high-quality diagnostic images. You will ensure all images are properly labeled, transmitted to PACS, and documented within our electronic systems in accordance with departmental protocols, regulatory standards, and HIPAA requirements.

Radiology Technologists at Baptist Urgent Care play an important role in the overall visit, often assisting with basic clinical tasks such as vital signs, point-of-care testing, and rooming patients as needed to support clinic flow. You will collaborate with providers during busy periods, prioritize exams based on clinical urgency, and communicate any critical or unexpected findings to the clinical team in a timely and professional manner. You will also participate in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized imaging area, performing basic equipment checks, and promptly reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns.

Aligned with our caring and community-focused culture, you will provide compassionate care to patients of all ages and backgrounds, including those who may be anxious, in pain, or unfamiliar with imaging procedures. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, treat every patient with respect and empathy, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented atmosphere. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, you will engage in ongoing education, competency assessments, and quality initiatives related to imaging standards, infection control, and patient safety.

This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an urgent care setting where your imaging expertise directly influences timely decision-making and patient outcomes. At Baptist Urgent Care, you will have the chance to grow professionally within a supportive and collaborative team, broaden your experience by working with a diverse patient population and a wide variety of clinical presentations, and contribute daily to essential healthcare services within the community.
