Operate a side-load recycling collection truck for the City of Grand Junction’s Recycling Division, collecting, sorting, decontaminating and transferring recyclables from customers and at the facility, plus basic equipment upkeep. You’ll also run equipment like forklifts and skid steers and handle customer/public inquiries. The Recycling Specialty Equipment Operator will operate a side-load recycling collection truck; materials from customer locations to facility; maintenance and recycling equipment to include forklifts, hand tools, skid process recyclable material at facility. Operate a recycling collection pick-up truck; collect, sort, decontaminate, and transfer recyclable materials from customer locations to facility receptacles and/or areas; deliver plastic containers/totes; recycle collection process. Perform safety inspections, maintenance, and repairs on equipment.
