Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned areas. Supervise and Develop Staff: Lead nursing and support teams by directing daily activities, providing input on hiring, and facilitating ongoing training and performance evaluations.

Coordinate Patient Assignments: Assess daily care needs to develop and distribute strategic staff assignments that meet productivity standards and patient requirements.

Manage Shift Operations: Exercise independent judgment to plan services, set priorities based on patient/physician dynamics, and justify any operational variances to leadership.

Resolve Care Issues: Act as the primary point of contact for patient care complaints, managing resolutions through established organizational channels.

Optimize Resource Allocation: Ensure the continuous availability of essential materials, supplies, and clinical resources to maintain seamless unit operations.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date reqired. Education: Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
