Compensation $35.22-$57.52/hr. based on previous work experience Evening differential $2.50/hr. Night differential $3.00/hr. Weekend differential $3.00/hr. Members of the wound care team assess patients with or at risk for pressure injuries, identify treatment options, and implement wound care best practices across the healcare system.

Responsibilities

Job Summary WOCN consultant in management of patients with draining wounds, fistulas, and altered skin integrity due to pressure necrosis, drainage or incontinence Provides In-Service Programs as Needed for Nursing and Medical Staff Serves as Resource Person for Inpatients and Outpatients who have had Previous Ostomy Surgery Primary Educator to Patients Undergoing Ostomy Surgery Evaluates Ostomy and Skin Care Products, Supplies and Practice Methods on a Continuing Basis Maintains Level of Competence and Currency in WOC Nursing Maintains Data Collection as Designated Uses Effective Interpersonal Skills to Communicate with Patients, Families, and Health Team

Qualifications

Qualifications Wound Care Certification & Ostomy Management Certification must be completed within 12 months of hire as requirement of job. Education Bachelor of Science preferred, Associate’s Degree required. Experience Two years previous RN nursing experience required. Experience is to include experience in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing practice required. Licensure/Certification/Registration/Professional Designation ETC Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse licensure required. Wound Care Certification (WCC) & Ostomy Management Specialist Certification (OMS) preferred or completed within 12 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current BLS is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
