LifeBridge Health is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our regional healthcare organization in Maryland. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across the continuum of care, including acute care hospitals, specialty centers, and community-based settings. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care treatments for patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medication delivery, chest physiotherapy, ventilator management, and arterial blood gas sampling and analysis. You will monitor patients’ responses to therapy, adjust care plans based on clinical status and established protocols, and communicate timely and accurate information to the healthcare team. You will support emergency response efforts, including rapid response and code situations, providing airway management, ventilatory support, and other life-support measures as needed. You will contribute to patient and family education by explaining respiratory conditions, treatments, equipment use (such as inhalers, nebulizers, and home oxygen), and strategies for disease management and prevention. You will document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards. As a valued member of LifeBridge Health, you will participate in quality improvement initiatives, infection control practices, and evidence-based protocols aimed at enhancing patient safety, outcomes, and overall experience.
