We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Rigging Equipment Technician to support the maintenance and repair of rigging equipment used in various applications. The Rigging Equipment Technician will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and servicing rigging gear to ensure compliance with safety standards and optimal performance. This role requires technical expertise in rigging equipment, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities


  • Inspect rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, hoists, and lifting devices for signs of wear, damage, or defects.
  • Perform load testing and certification of rigging gear in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on rigging equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
  • Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning rigging components as needed, following manufacturer guidelines and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and certifications.
  • Collaborate with the manager to coordinate repairs, replacements, and equipment as needed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries in the workplace.

Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in rigging or crane operations is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Rigging Equipment Technician or in a similar role, with knowledge of rigging gear and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of rigging principles, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in conducting load testing and inspections of rigging equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair rigging components using hand and power tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
