Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Detail in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and help to discourage security-related incidents. You will support daily operations through professionalism, strong communication, and customer service while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity in a people-first culture.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor movement through assigned areas, verify credentials and/or permissions when required, and document unusual activity, rule violations, and incident details.
• Support staff, visitors, and authorized personnel with directions, information, and security-related assistance while maintaining awareness of location conditions and potential concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
