Flexible scheduleProject Requirements: You must be a native speaker of Spanish (spoken in Spain) and have at least intermediate fluency in Catalan. Comfortable working with provided scripts and making minor conversational adjustments to improve naturalness. Previous experience with audio recording, voice data collection, podcasting, voice acting, or similar projects is preferred but not required. No professional studio, special equipment, or voice-acting experience is required! Standard mobile phone or laptop microphones are perfect. You will just need to follow a simple setup guide so your voices record onto separate left and right channels (Agent on the left, Customer on the right). Each pair of participants can record up to 1 hour of total audio (maximum 30 minutes of speaking time per individual). You will need to practice the script briefly beforehand so it sounds like a natural, everyday conversation rather than reading from a page.
The Project: We are looking for bilingual speakers for a high-priority, fast-paced audio data collection project to help train AI systems to understand natural, real-world conversations where speakers switch between two languages (code-switching). The project replicates everyday customer support situations and conversations.
Duties: Participate in recorded conversations using both Spanish (Spain) and Catalan while following project guidelines. Collaborate with another participant to perform customer support-style roleplay recordings. Follow recording instructions to ensure audio quality and proper channel separation. Deliver recordings that reflect natural speech patterns and realistic code-switching between languages. Complete assigned recordings and related project tasks within project deadlines.
Engagement Requirements: You must be a native speaker of Spanish (spoken in Spain) and have at least intermediate fluency in Catalan. Comfortable speaking naturally in both languages during recorded conversations. Access to a quiet recording environment with minimal background noise. Access to a computer, laptop, or mobile device with a functioning microphone and internet connection. Must complete the task within the expected timeframe after onboarding
