What you’ll own
You’ll operate with autonomy on complex, mission-critical infrastructure — challenging problems and a team that trusts your judgment.
Manage performance and efficiency of servers across multi-OS environments
Maintain data security, system integrity, and administrator accounts
Design and implement high-availability solutions: failover clusters, SQL Server FCI, and AlwaysOn Availability Groups
Own backup, restore, migration, and database snapshot strategies
Optimize Oracle 19c and SQL Server for mission-speed data access
Monitor and manage SQL Server Agent alerts and jobs
Build and maintain efficient table structures for both transactional and warehouse data
Lead database migrations across MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle environments
Develop and enforce testing strategies, policies, and performance standards
Advise end-users on performance tuning and best practices
Maintain current knowledge of relevant and emerging technologies
What you bring to the table
Must-haves
Active TS/SCI clearance
5+ years of SQL database analysis and/or administration experience
Hands-on experience with failover clusters, SQL Server FCI, and AlwaysOn Availability Groups
Experience building and maintaining efficient table structures (OLTP and data warehouse)
Experience with database backup, restore, migration, and snapshot technologies
Experience monitoring, creating, and managing SQL Server Agent alerts
S. in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience
Strong differentiators
Oracle 19c administration and performance tuning expertise
Migration experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 certification
