This role offers the opportunity to lead complex, large-scale federal aviation infrastructure projects that directly support nationwide modernization initiatives. You will oversee end-to-end project execution across multiple sites, ensuring alignment with strict federal requirements, technical standards, and client expectations. The position involves managing interdisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders across geographically distributed FAA regions. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients while driving planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management activities. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring strong construction and engineering project oversight in regulated environments. The environment is fast-paced, mission-critical, and centered on delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality infrastructure outcomes.

Accountabilities: Lead full lifecycle management of multiple FAA infrastructure projects, from planning and design through execution and closeout. Develop detailed project execution plans, including schedules, budgets, risk mitigation strategies, and resource allocation. Coordinate and supervise interdisciplinary teams, including engineering, technical, construction, and administrative personnel. Manage subcontractor performance, including RFP development, bid evaluation, and contract compliance oversight. Serve as primary client liaison, conducting project review sessions and ensuring alignment on cost, schedule, and technical performance. Monitor project milestones, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent delays or cost overruns. Ensure compliance with federal standards, safety requirements, and contractual obligations across all project activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical/business field. 15+ years of experience managing large-scale engineering or construction programs. Strong background in project management within complex, multi-site infrastructure environments. Experience developing work plans, cost estimates, schedules, and full project lifecycle reporting. Familiarity with FAA projects or other federal government infrastructure programs is highly preferred. Proven ability to manage subcontractors, cross-functional teams, and client relationships effectively. Strong understanding of construction methods, engineering processes, and industry best practices. Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and organizational skills. Project Management Certification is preferred. Ability to travel up to 25% as required.
