What you'll do: Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance systems for Walmart’s Returns Engineering team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers) to gather requirements and deliver impactful software solutions that enhance workflows and customer experiences. Drive the adoption of agile engineering practices and DevOps methodologies across the team for continuous improvement and product delivery. Analyze complex business and technical requirements and provide recommendations to improve return processes, using cutting-edge technologies like AI/ML, cloud native architectures, etc. Advocate and drive best practices in engineering excellence, including documentation, testing, code reviews, and monitoring. What you'll bring: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). Experience: 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with expertise in building scalable, distributed systems. Proven expertise in Java, Python, or other modern programming languages and frameworks (Spring Boot, Node.js, etc.). Strong knowledge of cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, or similar, and proven experience in developing cloud-native solutions. Experience in SQL/NoSQL databases like MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc. Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
