Pertemps are currently looking for a reliable and hands-on

Stores Operative

to support our busy stores team over the coming months.

This is a fast-paced and varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll be working closely with our existing Storekeeper to keep goods moving efficiently through the business during a particularly busy period.

Key Responsibilities

Unloading deliveries and checking goods against delivery notes Booking goods into the system (ERP experience preferred) Moving and organising stock within stores and across the shop floor Handling a wide range of items – from small components (nuts, bolts, fittings) to large machined parts and fabrications Kitting parts for production Packing and preparing orders for dispatch Occasional local collections from suppliers

Requirements

Valid Counterbalance forklift licence (7T preferred, 3.5T minimum) Previous stores/warehouse experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment PC literate with experience using ERP systems (Epicor desirable but not essential) Comfortable working in a physically active, fast-moving environment Flexible and willing to support overtime when required - Time 1/2 Saturdays / Double Time Sundays The Ideal Candidate: You’ll be someone who thrives in a busy, sometimes unpredictable environment. This role can be interrupted and reactive, so we’re looking for someone who can stay organised, keep a positive attitude, and get stuck in.
