Hardware Support Technician | Technical Support, Hardware Repair & Customer solutions | Onsite – Ocala, FL

Looking to launch or grow your career in technology and hardware support? As a Hardware Support Technician, you will provide hands-on technical support by installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer hardware, software, and proprietary systems. This role combines hardware repair, customer support, system configuration, and technical problem-solving while offering exposure to networking, SQL, QA testing, and field installations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to build a long-term career in a collaborative technical environment.

Location

Ocala, FL- Fully on-site
Shift: M-F, 8am-5pm EST
Pay: Starting at $40,000 annually (DOE)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot proprietary software, PC hardware, and associated technical systems.

  • Provide Tier 2 technical support and customer troubleshooting assistance via phone and onsite support.

  • Install and configure MS Windows, MS SQL Express, IIS, and proprietary software systems.

  • Perform in-house and onsite installation of PCs and technical equipment.

  • Coordinate with sales, electrical departments, and management regarding upgrades and customer solutions.

  • Provide customer training on system operation and maintenance procedures.

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, electronics, wiring, and networking-related issues.

  • Assist with QA testing, SQL-related support tasks, and technical reporting as needed.

  • Maintain accurate inventory adjustments and documentation according to company procedures.

  • Support customers and internal teams by resolving technical issues in a timely and professional manner.

What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience REQUIRED.

  • Experience repairing electronics, wiring, or technical equipment strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of computer repair and troubleshooting required.

  • Associate's degree in computer repair, CompTIA A+, vocational training, military technical experience, or related background preferred.

  • 1–3 years of computer technician, electronics, or technical support experience preferred.

  • Experience with MS Windows, SQL Server/Express, IIS, Excel, and Microsoft Office preferred.

  • Must be comfortable lifting 20 lbs. and working occasionally test bench environments.

  • Ability to travel nationwide approximately 10% of the time required.
