Travel The CT Technologist performs computerized axial tomography procedures using imaging equipment and contrast materials in accordance with Carle policies and procedures. Responsibilities include: Performing CT procedures and invasive exams, including multiplanar reformats and 3D rendered images. Reviewing cases with radiologists and patient history to ensure accurate exams. Administering IV, oral, and rectal contrast materials as needed. Monitoring and responding to adverse or allergic reactions. Screening patients for pregnancy and conducting pregnancy tests if applicable. Ensuring safety for patients, visitors, and the environment, and reporting safety events immediately. Assisting in training students and new staff as required. Fulfilling duties of CT Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence. Maintaining productivity levels and assisting other areas during downtime. Performing duties of other modalities if licensed and required. Education and certifications required include an Associate's Degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology, IEMA Radiography License, ARRT Radiography (R) or NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Tech Certification, ARRT Computed Tomography (CT), and BLS (American Heart Association).
