Job Summary

The Nuclear Radiology Specialist performs high-quality routine and specialized Nuclear Radiology procedures as requested by licensed independent practitioners for interpretation by radiologists. This role integrates scientific knowledge, technical skills, patient interaction, and compassionate care to produce diagnostic information. The Specialist must demonstrate a detailed understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Responsibilities include maintaining accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques, ensuring radiation safety for all, and preparing, administering, and documenting activities related to medications in compliance with state regulations and institutional policies. Required Qualifications: Technical diploma - Graduate of a formal diagnostic Radiology program CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (Texas Medical Board) CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (NMTCB) or N-ARRT - ARRT Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist 3 years of Radiology experience (any/all modalities) Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience Additional Information: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Skills required: IVs, quality control Knowledge of Nuclear Radiology physics and procedures Operation and troubleshooting of required equipment, including automated processors, R.I.S., and PACS Basic life support and medical terminology understanding Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide excellent customer service
