RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:


• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

• Weekend and holiday rotation required

• On-call responsibilities required

• May need to float between Baywood and Heart ICU/PCU units

• Varied work schedule with flexible assignment opportunities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs

• Formulate and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team

• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities

• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed

• Document all nursing activities legibly and timely in patient records

• Participate in evidence-based practice and may engage in research activities

• Mentor and precept other staff members as appropriate

• Current valid RN license in state of practice required

• BLS certification required

• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience in specialty area within past 12 months required

• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred

• Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to cardiovascular intensive care
