Medical coding in an acute care setting. Must possess proficient computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, ICD 9 CM, CPT 4, Encoder). Knowledge of coding guidelines, payor guidelines, federal billing guidelines. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology & disease processes. Ability to research coding related issues.
