Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel nurse RN Hematology / Oncology for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements

Specialty: Hematology / Oncology Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel

Required: RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below

Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel

Required: All Candidates are expected to Float as needed Required: step down and ONS/ONCC required.

Job Summary Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with varying health conditions, ranging from simple to complex. Essential Responsibilities

Manage an assigned group of patients, ensuring quality care delivery. Document patient responses to interventions and treatments; update changes in physician orders. Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures. Monitor and obtain physiological data, intervening as necessary. Administer prescribed medications and manage intravenous infusions and blood products. Develop and share care plans with patients and families, including discharge instructions. Educate patients and families on hospital procedures. Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel and delegate tasks to support staff.

General Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

1 year of nursing experience. Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and procedures. Strong organizational, planning, and evaluation skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to address cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a board-approved program.

Required Education

Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Required Certifications & Licensure

Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certification from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS). ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
