Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse providing safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. Delivers patient care incorporating Relationship Centered Care and nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and organizational nursing standards. Assesses and evaluates patient care needs applying critical thinking skills. Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare team in plan of care development, implementation, and evaluation. Prioritizes patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, planning after hospital care, and delegating as appropriate. Educates patients and caregivers about plan of care, transition of care, health promotion, and disease prevention. Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, family, and healthcare team. Manages assignments within Modified Primary Nursing care delivery model and allocates material resources effectively.
