Provide individualized, quality patient care by assessing needs, designing, implementing, and evaluating care plans. Collaborate with the treatment team to achieve patient goals. Administer medications and treatments accurately, monitoring effects. Document patient information, including assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans, within procedural time limits. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and performance improvement activities. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and professional scope of practice. Provide age-appropriate education to patients and families, considering cultural and individual needs. ASN degree (minimum). Active NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license. BLS certification (AHA). Demonstrated computer literacy and competency in required systems. Ability to provide care to adolescent, adult, and older adult patients, with knowledge of growth and development principles. Competence in cultural sensitivity and addressing diverse patient needs. BSN degree. Key Responsibilities
Complete Nursing Admission Assessments, including evaluations for abuse, neglect, pain, and suicide risk. Administer and document medications, including PRN medications, and manage medication orders. Respond to emergency codes, perform CPR, and use AED as needed. Maintain therapeutic milieu, set therapeutic limits, and provide effective 1:1 patient interactions. Understand and implement unit-specific protocols, including suicide prevention, seclusion, and restraint procedures. Participate in crisis management and incident reporting as per organizational policy.
