Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Speech Language Pathologist evaluates, diagnoses, and recommends treatment plans for communication disorders related to speech and language. Responsibilities

Perform evaluations of speech, hearing, and swallowing difficulties upon physician referral. Make preliminary diagnoses and develop treatment plans. Determine the need for individual or group therapy for each client. Document client progress. Assist students in clinical rotations to meet objectives. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

Knowledge of normal speech, language, and hearing development. Ability to perform diagnostic tests for communication disorders and formulate treatment plans. Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Ability to display patience and encouragement, especially when clients experience frustration. Required Education

Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology. Required Certifications & Licensure

Licensed by the Oklahoma State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association.
