CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Underwriter I. role, you will assist the Underwriter with the quoting, issuance, and maintenance of new and renewal business across Workers’ Compensation and Property & Casualty lines. responsibility for assigned new and renewal accounts, including reviewing and requesting the necessary underwriting information to support policy quoting, quality control for new and renewal business. * Quality assurance of below throughout the lifecycle of policy: * Loss information in account summary. Underwriting platform/system * Operations and exposures * Bind & Issue Policies: * tracks quote subjectivities and update various policy expiration activities forwarding to Underwriter or approval if within AU Guidelines * Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related discipline i.e., Minimum 4 years of full- time work experience in insurance can be utilized on Knowledge and/or experience with commercial lines of insurance (Specifically Property, GL, Umbrella & Auto Lines is a plus), i.e., Excellent customer service and communication (both verbal and written) * Must be able to partner effectively with Underwriters * Insurance Companies benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, a health savings account, a flexible spending account, and a 401k plan. * We provide some benefits at no cost to the employee (Basic Life Insurance and AD&D at two times an employee’s annual salary, Short- and Long-term Disability coverage, and Employee Assistant Plan). * Employees will accrue 0.0692 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) per paid hour, paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
