Job Description

To perform the daily physical duties of the warehouse operations, which include, the off-loading and loading of containers and truckload deliveries, picking & packing and preparation of dock receipts for goods to fill export and domestic orders. Also responsible for performing stock rotation and placement of all incoming inventory in designated warehouse racks, as well as maintaining a clean and safe operating environment. Reports to: Warehouse Manager/Supervisor Primary Responsibilities: Picking and packing stock to fill export and local orders as per company procedures in an efficient, safe and timely manner. Responsible for ensuring that pick quantities are accurate and all picking and packing documents, dock receipts as well as packages are clearly labelled as per company procedures. To assist with the off-loading of incoming containers and incoming truckload product deliveries and checking off stock to ensure it matches delivery documentation. Also responsible for advising supervisor immediately of any discrepancies. Responsible for storing incoming goods in designated areas and arranged in an orderly manner with labels properly visible while ensuring that stock is rotated. To assist with the loading of export containers and domestic truckload deliveries. Responsible for preparing dock receipts for goods, including taking measurements and weight of goods and recording this information on company forms and/or computer systems. Making sure that any discrepancies and/or damaged items are reported to the warehouse supervisor immediately. Assist supervisor or managers with performing inventory stock counts. To ensure that picked export orders are properly stacked and shrink wrapped and clearly labelled and stored together by customer in an organized manner and staged prior to shipments. Provide recommendations to the supervisor for improvements in safety practices & work environment. Responsible for ensuring compliance with company and government safety guidelines. Operation of Forklift and in a safe manner. Wearing safety shoes and uniforms at all times while on the job. Assist with sweeping of warehouse and ensuring that work areas are always clean and free of debris. Responsible for attending company meetings and training. Complying with company rules and guidelines. To fulfil other responsibilities or tasks as assigned by a Manager or Supervisor. Additional Responsibilities: Make sure that all maintenance requests and safe operation for all material handling equipment is adhered to. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
