Job Description AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a Wastewater Project Manager with a passion for wastewater treatment plant evaluation, design, and construction. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a client-facing project manager on regional and municipal wastewater treatment projects and collection systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to immediately contribute to an established and successful wastewater practice in the Greater Hartford, Connecticut area and New England working on a diverse range of technically challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Lead multi-discipline and complex wastewater design projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases. Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects to approved scope, budget, and schedule. Perform engineering technical reviews and implement AECOM quality standards. Point of contact internally and externally for projects and clients in southern New England. Develop and mentor mid-level and junior staff for career development. Support business development activities, including technical and cost pricing efforts for proposals. Opportunity for participation in water and wastewater organizations through presentations at conferences and volunteering. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 6+ years of related experience in water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping and collection systems or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Registered Professional Engineer in CT or ability to obtain within one year. Valid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records Review. Preferred Capabilities: 10+ years of related experience in wastewater consulting and engineering management. Previous experience leading scope, technical approach and pricing efforts for leading business development activities. Previous water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping stations, collection systems and client relations experience. Previous experience leading client and public presentations Ability to work collaboratively and motivate staff and project team. Experience with water treatment engineering. Additional Information This position requires travel within CT and nearby states. Relocation is available for this position. Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
