As a Water Spider, your primary mission is to keep production moving. You ensure that materials are delivered to the right place at the right time, minimizing downtime and maximizing the productivity of the entire assembly team.
Your Responsibilities
- Material Logistics: Optimize material flow by creating systematic Just-In-Time (JIT) routes and timelines. Manage material scanning processes to ensure inventory accuracy at the point of use.
- Operational Support: Interpret blueprints, schematics, and bills of materials to identify required parts and tools. Execute assembly tasks using hand/power tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Communication & Alignment: Act as the central point of contact for your department, collaborating across teams to clear hurdles and keep production on track.
- Lean Leadership: Actively support Lean initiatives and lead or participate in continuous improvement events to refine floor processes.
- Safety & Stewardship: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Identify equipment maintenance needs and adhere to all PPE and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (manufacturing environment strongly preferred).
Physical Requirements
This is a physically active role requiring constant movement.
- Mobility: Constant walking; frequent standing and reaching.
- Strength: Ability to lift up to 10 lbs constantly, 25 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
