Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join their dynamic team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be an integral part of the finance department, supporting various accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will enable you to thrive in this collaborative environment.

Silverton, OR

Pay Range: $24 - $26

Shift: Day shift - Part-time (20 hours for the next six months)

What's the Job?

  • Processing bank transactions and accounts receivable (AR) cash applications
  • Entering and posting AR, bank, and general ledger (GL) transactions
  • Running Sage Day-End processing and posting subledgers
  • Maintaining AR aging reports and resolving discrepancies
  • Processing payment batches and investigating discrepancies or short payments

What's Needed?

  • Previous experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Sage
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports
  • Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement
