This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Manager in United States. This role is a key leadership position within the accounting function, responsible for overseeing accounts payable and travel & expense operations in a structured corporate environment. You will manage a small team, ensuring accurate processing, compliance, and timely execution of financial transactions across vendor payments and employee expenses. The position plays a central role in improving operational efficiency, strengthening internal controls, and maintaining high-quality financial data. You will collaborate closely with internal business units and finance stakeholders to resolve payment issues and optimize workflows. In addition to day-to-day oversight, you will contribute to process improvements and policy documentation. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader who enjoys combining operational execution with team supervision and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities: Oversee the daily operations of Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards. Supervise, support, and guide AP and T&E staff, including review and verification of vouchers, invoices, and expense reports. Manage vendor-related processes including W-9 documentation, payment processing, voids, reversals, and stop payments. Ensure completion and accuracy of annual 1099 reporting and related compliance requirements. Collaborate with internal business units to resolve payment issues and support financial transaction workflows. Document, maintain, and improve AP and T&E procedures to strengthen operational consistency and control. Provide recommendations for process enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Support broader accounting and administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). At least 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, including leadership or supervisory exposure. Strong understanding of accounting principles, AP processes, and financial compliance requirements. Experience managing accounts payable and/or travel & expense operations in a structured environment. Familiarity with vendor management processes, including tax documentation (e.g., W-9s) and 1099 reporting. Proficiency in accounting systems and standard financial software tools. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact across teams. Ability to lead, mentor, and support a small team in a deadline-driven environment.
