What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll own the Accounts Receivable function while leading the team and keeping cash flow on track.
- Lead, mentor, and develop AR Specialists, including training and performance feedback
- Oversee invoicing to ensure accuracy and timely delivery to customers
- Manage AR aging and drive collections on outstanding balances
- Communicate with customers via phone and email to resolve past-due accounts
- Review AR data and prepare reporting for leadership (Controller/CFO)
- Handle dispute resolution and escalations
- Support new customer onboarding and maintain accurate customer records
- Improve and document AR processes, workflows, and best practices
- Partner with operations and sales to ensure invoicing is aligned and efficient
- Reconcile AR and related general ledger accounts monthly
- Assist with cash forecasting and analysis
What We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for someone who can lead confidently, stay organized, and communicate clearly—both internally and with customers.
- 3–6 years of Accounts Receivable experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience (or ready to step into it)
- Strong understanding of AR processes, collections, and reporting
- Excellent communication skills—comfortable working with customers and internal teams daily
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Prophet 21 or similar is a plus)
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-driven
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
