Position Overview

The CNC Technician II uses CNC machinery to perform a range of fabrication processes, producing precision parts that meet internal and external customer requirements. This role supports production through programming, setup, machining, and inspection in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Machine medium to moderately complex parts to print and specification
• Apply working knowledge of CNC machines, tools, and machining methods, including setup, repair, and maintenance
• Select appropriate tools, machines, materials, and abrasives to meet cut quality and production requirements
• Modify existing CNC programs or write and test new programs to support new or revised processes
• Program using G-code, macro variables, and SurfCam software
• Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of CNC and manual machine shop equipment, including mills and lathes
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and other precision instruments
• Measure, inspect, and test completed parts to ensure conformance to quality and engineering specifications
• Maintain awareness of production processes, raw materials, quality standards, and cost considerations
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 3+ years of CNC machining experience or completed trade school training preferred
• Strong background in CNC setup, programming, and precision machining
• Comfortable working independently on second or weekend shifts
