The APP plays a vital role in care coordination, clinical decision-making, and interdisciplinary collaboration for some of the hospitals most critical patients.

Responsibilities

    Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work, X-rays, and other studies. Perform diagnostic procedures such as blood draws, smears, and urinalysis.

    Diagnose and treat both acute and chronic conditions. Prescribe medications in collaboration with licensed physicians.

     Current Maryland Physician Assistant or CRNP or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner License.

    DEA Controlled Substance Registration, Controlled Dangerous Substances License (or eligibility to obtain).
