CPV Manufacturing, an industrial valve manufacturer located in Kennett Square, PA, is looking for a Valve Assembler to join our team. This position is focused on producing valves and valve components. *This position is 2nd shift Monday through Thursday 3:30pm - 1:30am with a 30-minute paid meal break. 10% shift differential pay. Must be available to train Monday through Friday 6:30am - 3:15pm before transitioning to assigned 2nd shift. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review the work order traveler, assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists to assemble valves and other components
- Clean valve and fitting assembly components following requirements that are called out
- Visually inspect components for defects prior to assembly, ensuring highest level of quality
- Assemble product following engineering drawings, work instructions, and bill of materials
- Conduct pressure test on assembled valves to verify they meet requirements
- Record assembly and testing data using ISO 9001 documentation practices
- Maintain tools and equipment, including preventative maintenance
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Helps to maintain assembly area supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies and notifying supervisor when levels are low
- Work in the cleanroom when required, following all cleanroom procedures to assemble product in that environment
- Cross-train in other departments as needed
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma, technical education a plus
- Mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Able to read basic blueprints
- Proficient in use of mechanical tools and measuring devices
- Quality focus
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Work environment is on the plant floor
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Noise may be moderate to loud
- Must be able to wear proper PPE
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
