Assembly Operator Lead 1st Shift - Delavan, WI

We have an opportunity for an Assembly Operator Lead on 1st Shift to join our Delavan, WI team. You will perform required operations to assemble, test and package all sizes and types of 4" submersible pumps as well as a lead a team up to 20 people.

You will:

  • Perform assembly operations including but not limited to assemble a pump from 1st station to last station, electrical connections and decal application to produce a variety of utility type pumps.
  • Own quality production of pumps with your team through standard work adherence
  • Manage a team of up to 20 individuals
  • Present at daily MDI meeting for prior day metrics
  • Be able to efficiently prioritize staffing daily and throughout shift
  • Ensure your team is working safely every day
  • Create RCCMs for safety incidents as well as production misses
  • Be able to understand a metric and adjust accordingly based on what the metric is showing
  • Perform hourly/bi-hourly audits/checks throughout shift including playbook auditing
  • Be able to follow leader standard work at a daily/weekly/monthly level

Key Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree or coursework towards Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • 5+ Years' experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • ERP System (SAP, MFG, PRO, M2K) experience.
  • MS Office Suite experience
  • Prior leadership and training experience desired.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and use of initiative to meet a defined target or project goal.
  • Experience of Lean manufacturing methodologies and/or continuous improvement.
  • Experience creating and utilizing basic spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.
  • Physical Demands: standing, walking, lifting and lowering weights up to 50 pounds.

Shift/Hours:

  • 1st Shift: 5:00am - 2:15pm Monday - Friday
  • Overtime as needed (after shift or on weekend)

Compensation

The hourly pay for this role is: $24.00 to $30.00/hr. DOE. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
