The Child Care Worker implements the Crisis Nursery program to ensure the safety, wellbeing, basic needs and general care of children ages birth through six years attending the Crisis Nursery programming. The Child Care Worker for the Crisis Nursery also works closely with the parents of the children to assess immediate family needs, make referrals for services and identify community resources that may reduce stressors impacting their ability to care for their child(ren).

Candidate qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required. You are 21 years of age or older. Associate Degree or Child Development Accreditation Certificate preferred. Course work in child development, early childhood education, or childcare

preferred. * One year experience working with children, preferably birth to seven years required. * Ability to secure and maintain a valid CPR and First Aid certification.

Job Responsibilities:

* Ensures the daily routine of the Crisis Nursery is followed while supervising and monitoring the safety, care and wellbeing of the children entrusted to their care. Prepares meals and organizes mealtimes and snacks for children. Develops schedules and routines to ensure that children have enough physical

activity, rest and playtime while at the Crisis Nursery. * Provides nurturing, age appropriate and stimulating activities for infants, toddlers and young children. * Coordinates activities that promote the development of the infants/child’s fine and gross motor skills. * Provides appropriate behavior management interventions and redirects children’s behavior. * Admits children to the program and completes relevant assessments, including the Relationship Assessment Tool, the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale, and the ASQ during the intake process. * Discharges children and follows-up with parents regarding their use of the Crisis Nursery. * Follows the licensing standards of health, welfare and safety and ensures staff to child ratio per license. * Follows and completes all daily maintenance and sanitation schedule.

* Compensation: Hourly: Range is between $16.60-$18.60 per hour, offers are commensurate with experience and bilingual candidates may receive additional compensation. The salary range provided represents our current estimate for this role at the time of posting and is subject to change. The final salary will be determined based on a range of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's relevant experience, education, qualifications, skills, certifications, and alignment with organizational needs.
