Job Title Client Finance Manager GOS Job Description Summary Provide leadership and supervision to Finance team members and support Project operations and clients through sound judgement and discretion in applying finance/accounting principles to day-to-day processes and functions. Assess team and department efficiencies to make improvement recommendations where necessary. Job Description Essential Job Duties: Oversee financial planning & analysis (FP&A) on a strategic client Develop productive, supportive relationships with key stakeholders (financial leadership, client team, and project operations partners) Review team members' financial deliverables to ensure quality, timeliness, audit compliance and assess competencies Track team compliance with department procedures/controls; approve banking or financial transactions, schedules, and reports in accordance with best practice policy and procedures Monitor account health and other metrics, managing remediation as needed Direct new scope onboarding by coordinating with account leadership and clients Assess team/department workflows and policies to recommend or implement improvements in operating efficiencies and effectiveness Manage team performance, available capacity, and training needs through conducting one-on-one meetings, team meetings and addressing deficiencies timely and professionally Develop direct reports (as applicable) through goal setting, conducting mid-year and year-end performance reviews and delivering timely and meaningful performance feedback, while maintaining quality results and performance Lead departmental projects and/or assume a leadership role on finance initiatives Manage client financial budgets, forecasts, analysis & accounting month-end activities related to client financials Leverage AI tools and data analytics to streamline financial processes, identify inefficiencies, and improve processing accuracy and turnaround times across multiple financial platforms Understanding of corporate facilities related projects, including capital expenditures (CAPEX), operating expenses (OPEX), labor allocations, and related financial statement (income statement & balance sheet) impacts Perform other related duties as required or requested Supervisory Responsibilities: Leads/Assigns/Delegates tasks to Sr. Client Accountants, Client Accountants, and/or Accounts Payable Specialists May coordinate efforts of project team to complete work within project deadlines Provides solutions to routine/complex finance problems Education/Experience/Training: College degree in Finance or Accounting preferred People management experience preferred Experience with FP&A for corporate facilities related projects preferred MBA/CMA/CPA preferred Work Experience: Requires five to seven years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Specialized Knowledge/Skills – Knowledge of Finance system (Yardi and Workday software preferred); Strong MS Office Proficiency; Financial reporting for multiple entities preferred; Strong customer service, time management and organizational skills; Exceptional delegation skills with the ability to be a hands-on contributor and take initiative; Ability to train, mentor and coach others effectively; Results oriented with strong sense of urgency Competencies: Conflict Resolution Customer/Client Focus Delegation Ethical Conduct Goal Setting Independent Judgement Initiative Leadership Problem Solving Relationship Management Financial Acumen Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Understanding of GAAP Accounting Time Management Strategic Thinking Cushman & Wakefield also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life, and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work.
