Starting pay for this position is $19.75. Work hours can vary, but is typically from 4 am to 2 pm.
- Inspect, diagnose and repair diesel-powered vehicles and equipment (primarily forklifts).
- Perform regular, routine check-ups and preventive maintenance on diesel powered tractors, live haul trailers and feed haul trailers.
- Troubleshoot faults, repairing or replacing defective/damaged components.
- Inspect and diagnose trailer malfunctions.
- All other relevant duties to the position.
Requirements
- Driver's License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record required.
- Working knowledge of diesel mechanics required.
Physical Requirements
- Travel regularly to assigned farms.
- Frequently lift 50+ lbs.
- Walk in an outside environment (including inclement weather conditions) on a daily basis.
- Constantly subject to dusty and hot environments.
- Frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles.
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
