Our client is a successful and growing drainage specialist employing around 12 people, with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality, customer-focused drainage services across South Wales and the South West. They are now looking to recruit an experienced Drainage Engineer to support continued business growth.

The Role
Working across South Wales, Bristol, Abergavenny and the surrounding areas, you'll carry out a variety of drainage maintenance, repair and surveying duties. The role is primarily focused on CCTV drainage surveys and repair work, with no excavation or digging required.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out CCTV drainage surveys (the main focus of the role)
Identify drainage defects, cracks, collapses and blockages
Read and interpret drainage maps and plans
Complete drain patching and lining repairs
Carry out fibreglass patch lining repairs
Undertake general drainage maintenance and repair work
Produce accurate, detailed CCTV survey reports for customers and insurance companies
Deliver a professional, customer-focused service on every job
Work safely and in accordance with Health & Safety procedures
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
Previous experience working as a Drainage Engineer
CCTV drainage surveying experience
Good knowledge of drainage systems, repairs and mapping
The ability to produce clear and accurate survey reports
Excellent customer service and communication skills
A proactive, reliable and professional approach to work
A full UK Driving Licence (maximum of 6 penalty points)
The ability to successfully pass an Enhanced DBS check (paid for by the employer)
Desirable:
Water Hygiene certification or relevant industry tickets
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
8:00am - 5:00pm
40-hour working week
Covering South Wales, Bristol, Abergavenny and surrounding areas
Company van provided for business use
Travel:
The first 45 minutes of travel each way is unpaid. Any travel time beyond the initial 45 minutes is paid.
On-Call & Overtime
You'll participate in a
1-in-4 on-call rota , which includes:
£75 standby payment for each on-call week
Call-out hours:
Monday-Friday: 7:00pm - 7:00am
Weekend call-outs available
Double time paid after 10:00pm and for Sunday call-outs
Salary & Benefits
£14.50 - £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
40-hour permanent contract
