We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a
Drivers Mate
to join a professional removals team in Sheffield. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, providing excellent customer service, and working as part of a team.
Duties:
Loading and unloading vehicles and storage containers.
Handling customers' belongings with care and professionalism.
Assisting with home and commercial moves.
Following company procedures and Health & Safety guidelines.
Ensuring a high standard of customer service at all times.
Requirements
Good communication skills.
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
Positive attitude and team player mentality.
Previous removals or logistics experience is desirable but not essential.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
Hours & Benefits:
40 hours per week, typically 07:30–16:30 (1-hour lunch).
5 days out of 7, Monday to Sunday rota.
Rotas generally provided in advance.
Weekend working on a rotational basis.
Overtime paid after 40 hours.
25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (33 days total).
Full training provided.
