Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable Mold Setter to support injection molding operations by safely installing and removing molds, connecting auxiliary equipment, and ensuring machines are properly set up for production. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficiency, quality, and safety on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
Install and remove molds from injection molding machines safely and efficiently
Connect all required auxiliary equipment (water lines, airlines, hydraulic lines, conveyors, dryers, etc.)
Perform mold setups in accordance with production schedules and safety standards
Verify correct process parameters are applied to machines and equipment
Ensure all clamps, bolts, nozzles, and connections are secure prior to startup
Clean molds at the start of each shift and maintain clean press areas
Remove tools, hoses, and excess materials before releasing machines to production
Complete mold change documentation and maintain accurate records
Assist material handling and support general production needs when required
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
Minimum 6 months of mold setting or related experience
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods
Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
Team-oriented with good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Training or certification in injection molding or mold setup
Familiarity with various mold types and auxiliary equipment
Knowledge of safety practices in a manufacturing environment
Work Environment
Fast-paced industrial setting with exposure to machinery and moving parts
Requires PPE and adherence to safety protocols
