We also leverage our expertise in vacuum technology to provide unique, toxic chemical analysis products for emergency response, security, and environmental health and safety.Job DescriptionThe Field Service Technician is responsible for inspection, troubleshooting, scheduling, and execution of repairs and preventative maintenance on INFICON Leak Detectors at customer sites. Work will also include In-House repairs at our service center in Santa Clara, CA. Must be self-motivated to work unsupervised in customer environments which may include industrial facilities, assembly lines, laboratories, and semiconductor fabs. Travel up to 50% may be required. Territory will include, but not limited to, the U.S. West Coast States.Duties may include, but are not limited to:* Provide support with initial setup and basic operational training on new leak detectors. * Educate customers on best practices for leak detection relevant to their specific applications. * Identify opportunities to promote leak detector accessories and new products while supporting customers in the field.* Provide INFICON Key Account Managers and management with feedback on products, customer accounts, and competitive trends observed while performing standard job duties.* Provide technical and application support as needed.* Interface with our internal customers and make recommendations concerning Field Service Techniques and Applications. * Inside INFICON contribute to improving our position in the market via product line revisions, service strategy changes and service or sales policy changes.* Act as a role model by responding and assisting all customers in a positive and supportive manner.* Utilize SAP and CRM systems to generate customer quotes and process service orders.* Maintain INFICON's ISO 9001 registration by keeping procedures and files up-to-date, recommending improvements as appropriate and maintaining an awareness of pertinent procedures in all departments.* Must be willing to travel during the initial training phase if necessary. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications* Highly motivated self-starter.* Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.* Minimum of 2 years of experience repairing semiconductor vacuum equipment.* Associate of Science degree in a technical field, or equivalent technical or military experience and/or certification.* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with preferred experience in CRM and SAP systems.* Must be able to lift carry and push up to 75lbs on a daily basis.* May require prolonged visual concentration on small or detailed areas (e.g., monitors, screens, spreadsheets, documents, and magnifying glasses.Additional InformationThe expected salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $82,000 per year paid on an hourly basis. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit-sharing bonus with a target of 10% as well as 401K match up to 8% (vesting schedule).
